# Privacy Policy for ProFlex

ProFlex is a Chrome extension designed to assist students using the FlexStudent portal at `flexstudent.nu.edu.pk`. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension processes and how that information is handled.

ProFlex does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information with any third party. The extension operates locally in your browser and stores only user-selected preferences and calculation data on your device.

## Information We Process

ProFlex may read and process information that is already displayed on FlexStudent portal pages so it can provide its features, including:

- feedback form content
- marks and grade information shown on the portal
- attendance data shown on the portal
- transcript and GPA-related values shown on the portal

ProFlex also stores the following data locally in your browser:

- theme preference
- expected marks entered for GPA or marks projections
- transcript GPA projection values
- feature toggle preferences saved from the extension popup

## How We Use Information

The information processed by ProFlex is used only to provide extension features such as:

- auto-filling feedback forms
- recalculating marks and GPA projections
- showing attendance helper information
- saving light or dark theme preference
- remembering extension settings

## Data Storage

ProFlex stores data locally using browser storage mechanisms such as `chrome.storage.local` and `localStorage`. This data remains on your device and is not sent to any remote server by the extension.

## Data Sharing

ProFlex does not share data with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties. The extension does not include telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, or remote sync features.

## Permissions

ProFlex requests access only to `flexstudent.nu.edu.pk` so it can run its features on the portal pages where they are needed. The extension does not access unrelated websites.

ProFlex does not rely on third-party services for data collection or processing.

## Security

Because ProFlex processes data locally in your browser, your information stays under your control. However, no browser extension can guarantee absolute security, so you should use standard device and browser security practices.
